Artistic Approach

A self-taught artist, I have been drawing and creating since childhood, guided above all by curiosity, intuition, and a deep need to create.

Human beings are at the heart of my artistic practice. Their complexity, thoughts, experiences, dreams, fears, aspirations, contradictions, strengths, and flaws have always fascinated me. I am drawn to what makes each person unique, but also to the things we share.

I am particularly sensitive to the details that often go unnoticed: an expression, a way of speaking, a mannerism, a gesture, a piece of jewelry, an object, an old photograph, an anecdote. I am drawn to things that have lived a life of their own because they carry traces of people, stories, and a sense of mystery.

My curiosity is endless. I observe, I listen, I question, and I try to understand. Encounters, conversations, other people's stories, and the simple beauty of life continually feed my imagination. Ideas often come to me in flashes, sparked by an image, a detail, or an unexpected association. From there, they may take the form of a character, a scene, or an entire world.

Characters now occupy an important place in my work. Through them, I can explore different facets of humanity and perhaps express parts of myself without having to explain everything.

I do not seek to convey a specific message or impose an interpretation. I prefer to leave each person free to see, feel, and imagine whatever they wish in my work.

For me, creating is much more than a means of expression: it is a need. When I draw, I enter another world, a place where time seems to disappear and where I rediscover a profound sense of freedom.

I believe that this curiosity about life — and about human beings in all their richness — is what ultimately drives my work. In a way, I am a seeker of life: I observe, I marvel, I question, I imagine… and then I draw.
